The Northwest Fire Protection District is a volunteer-driven organization committed to protecting the residents and businesses of Silex, Missouri, and the surrounding rural communities.
Our district covers a broad service area across rural Callaway and Pike counties. From emergency fire response to wildfire mitigation, structural inspections, and public education — we are here when our community needs us most.
Every member of our department volunteers their time and training to ensure rapid, professional response to emergencies. We maintain close ties with neighboring districts and work collaboratively to keep the region safe.
Structural, wildland, and vehicle fire response. Our volunteer firefighters are trained and equipped to handle emergencies across our district.
First response medical care while awaiting advanced life support. Our crew members hold certifications in first aid and emergency medical response.
Fire safety inspections for businesses and residences, permit issuance, and code enforcement to help prevent incidents before they occur.
Fire safety workshops, school presentations, and public awareness programs designed to keep families and neighborhoods informed and prepared.
Proactive brush clearance, burn ban enforcement, and seasonal wildfire preparedness for the rural landscapes within our protection area.
Vehicle extrication, confined space response, and search-and-rescue operations supported by specialized equipment and cross-trained personnel.
